Art Department: Collaborative Art + Event Space

The Central Eastside Industrial District (CEID) is currently undergoing an incredible renaissance. Longtime industrial businesses and manufacturers are being enhanced by the arrival of a number of design- and art- based creative companies. As Portland artisanal economy grows and evolves, it’s truly inspiring to watch a new cultural hub take root and Art Department is curating the scene by hosting events, art shows, performances, classes and more!

It’s our mission to develop a space that is as dynamic and diverse as Portland’s creative scene itself. Our goal is to differentiate it from traditional galleries and instead focus on onetime events and exhibitions with artisans and creatives who are defining the local aesthetic. Our location includes a gallery, and an attached warehouse and rooftop – all available for incredibly budget rates. If you’re an artist, artisan, craftsman, performer, designer, brewer, distiller, chef, author, or creator, we want to work together!
