Cartopia: Portland’s Food Cart Revolution
I am working on a book that documents the burgeoning food cart scene in Portland, Oregon in collaboration with Kelly Rodgers of Confluence Planning. The book documents the history, architecture, place making, culinary, cultural, sustainability and business model aspects of the Portland food cart phenomenon. Gorgeous photography, interviews with the “eaters,” and vendor stories, will make this a must have for lovers of Portland, foodies, architects, planners and tourists.

The Farm Stands of Vashon Island
This book emerged from my love of farm fresh food and the deeper connection I feel to a  place when I get to know the people who grow my food. There is nothing better than biting into a juicy ripe tomato fresh off the vine and grown by a friend. It is pure bliss. After living on Vashon Island for a year, and frequenting the farm stands that cover the island, I decided to photograph the stands. They all have their own charm and fun honor systems for collecting money. I hope this book inspires you to visit the farm stands of Vashon Island and explore your own foodshed.
