An art installation/art colony using 1950′s/60′s vintage travel trailers, including a mix of Boles Aero, Shasta Deluxe, Airstream and a few canned ham’s. The trailers will be positioned on or in a 10,000 square foot space with a common area Airstream Bath House with 2 full bathrooms, a laundry room and tv lounge. My love for Portland started over 15 years and I cannot imagine it ever ending. I tried to leave twice, both times to great cities: Austin and NYC. But each time, Portland drew me back. I missed the trees, the people, the sense of community and all of the creative energy expressing itself in different ways depending on the neighborhood. Portland is where my people are. But what does that mean? Who are my people? Who are the people of Portland? How am I like them and how are they like me? Why did we come here and what makes us stay?
